Brazil achieved the second position in soybeans production -after the US- and the total harvested crop in 2014  was around 86.5 million tons in 29.8 million hectares. The main producer state is Mato Grosso that produced 26 million tons in the crop 2013/2014, the total planted area in this state was around 8.4 million hectares with an average productivity of 51.9 bags per hectare.

The world's need for corn as an ingredient for the animal feed industry, creates demand for Brazilian crops. Brazil is the third largest producer of corn and self-sufficient for domestic consumption.

Brazil is the largest producer of coffee, as it produces one third of the global coffee production, constituting the country the most important player in the area, by far. Brazil produced approximately 49 million bags of Robusta and Arabic coffee in the 2013 crop, in around 2 million hectares of area.
