Brazil is not only the largest producer of sugarcane, it´s also the first in the world in the production of sugar and ethanol. Thus, it increasingly expands in the foreign market with the use of biofuel as an alternative energy source.

Responsible for over half of the sugar traded in the world, the country milled 653 million tons of sugar cane, resulting in 37.7 million tons of sugar and 27.5 million cubic meters of alcohol.

Due to the increasing substitution of fossil energy sources, encouraged by today's consumption goals, ethanol consumption will grow by 2020, reaching 2 million boe / day, or 177.7 billion gallons / year, a volume 148 % higher than that consumed in 2010.

Brazil belongs to the group of the biggest cotton producers in the world, the country is in the fifth position with an estimation to produce 1.7 million tons of cotton lint in the crop of 2014/2015.
